office bento again by plainordinary1 office bento again by plainordinary1
Made another o-bento again this morning for today's lunch at the office...this is one way to make myself eat more veggies n oatmeal :blush:

Ingredients: Oatmeal, seaweed, sesame seeds, white pepper, salt, sugar, boiled snow peas, boiled celery, boiled carrot, raw cherry tomatoes, olive oil, stir fried garlic with sweet soy sauce, milk and 1 egg (for making the rolled cut omelet) =D

Looks delicious and super cute! Is the oatmeal plain? I never would've thought of putting oatmeal in a bento! Genius! ^_^

Hehee thanks again =D
Oatmeal is good for your health due to the fact that it can absorb cholesterol. The oatmeal in my bento is mixed with some salt, white pepper, seaweed n sesame seeds. You can add some sweet soy sauce for extra flavor :nod:

Who'd have thought? That's so cool! And you're welcome! ^^

(I hope I don't offend by saying this, but in America we eat our oatmeal sweet, so the idea of putting salt and all that other stuff you said would be really weird. But I'm willing to try it! I'm not your typical blondie American lol! I absolutely adore Asian food! ^^)

Owh yes, I know some ppl like to eat oatmeal with sweet things like fruits, cream n fruit jam..i've even heard of some westerners eating rice with strawberry jam (that's weird to me lol =D)..but hey it doesn't matter cuz that shows how diverse food n recipes can be :XD:

I was kinda worried that people might think they're some kind of red pepper instead of decorated cherry tomatoes ^^;
