Made another o-bento again this morning for today's lunch at the office...this is one way to make myself eat more veggies n oatmeal
Ingredients: Oatmeal, seaweed, sesame seeds, white pepper, salt, sugar, boiled snow peas, boiled celery, boiled carrot, raw cherry tomatoes, olive oil, stir fried garlic with sweet soy sauce, milk and 1 egg (for making the rolled cut omelet)

Oatmeal is good for your health due to the fact that it can absorb cholesterol. The oatmeal in my bento is mixed with some salt, white pepper, seaweed n sesame seeds. You can add some sweet soy sauce for extra flavor
(I hope I don't offend by saying this, but in America we eat our oatmeal sweet, so the idea of putting salt and all that other stuff you said would be really weird. But I'm willing to try it! I'm not your typical blondie American lol! I absolutely adore Asian food! ^^)
Owh yes, I know some ppl like to eat oatmeal with sweet things like fruits, cream n fruit jam..i've even heard of some westerners eating rice with strawberry jam (that's weird to me lol
